About

Who we are

Jump! is a team of volunteers from local churches established over 20 years ago by Natalie Edwards.

It is our aim to support the teaching of Christianity as part of Religious Education (RE) in primary schools and to give pupils an insight into and an understanding of the Christian faith.

All volunteers are DBS checked and receive annual safe-guarding training.

Our lessons and resources are free to schools, we are funded entirely by churches in the local area with occasional donations from individuals.

What we offer

All our lessons complement and fulfill requirements of the Hertfordshire Agreed Syllabus for RE, and are reviewed in line with this regularly.

We aim to share about the Christian faith in a lively, fun, relevant and consistent way with full awareness of other faiths and belief.

Jump! has a suite of video lessons on four themes - Christmas, Easter, Creation and Who is God? These are freely available to download and can be used by school staff at any time. See Videos

How do we operate?

RE leads or class teachers can invite us to take an RE lesson by contacting us via email or using the booking form.

The lessons are led by 2 of the Jump! team, with a member of school staff remaining in the classroom at all times. As a team we have a variety of styles as well as viewpoints from different church backgrounds. Trips to a local church, or a visit from a local vicar, can also be arranged via Jump! See Booking

We provide the materials and resources for each lesson. Most lessons have a PowerPoint which will be provided on a memory stick, or run from a laptop which a team member brings with them.
